Purpose: The purpose of the Medi-Cal Dental Advisory Committee is to provide oversight and guidance to improve dental utilization rates, the delivery of oral health and dental care services, including prevention and education services, dental managed care and fee-for- service Denti-Cal in S acramento County. Authority: AB 1467 (Budget Committee), effective July 1, 2012. Sponsor/Convener: First 5 S acramento Commission. Scope of Work (SOW): The Medi-Cal Dental Managed Care Advisory Committee will provide input verbally and in writing on the delivery of

• ral health and dental care services to the Department of Health Care

S ervices (DHCS ) the S acramento County Board of S upervisors (BOS ) and the First 5 S acramento Commission, as applicable, regarding policies that improve the delivery of oral health and dental services in S acramento County under the Medi-Cal program or county- administered health care system.
