Here are some strategies you can use to add double digits! 1. Add vertically (ones then tens) 2. Draw a picture (using tens and ones) 3. Number line ONES TENS Start on the biggest number (18), then break 12 into tens and ones: 10 + 2 → hop 10 and then hop 2 more!
