So Far We’ve Heard
Some big themes and visions for the corridor.
Tonight
Let’s discuss draft visions statements. Let’s discuss draft goals.
Vision and Big Ideas
Examples of Big Ideas We Heard
Diversity of Main Street represents the diversity of Springfield, create more destinations, keep the corridor marketable, create a sense of place, find a business I like.
The corridor divides neighborhoods, safe transportation, close the gaps and feel connected.
People can shop here and live here, more housing that doesn’t require a car for every trip, a mix of uses makes the community feel more safe, a place for all ages, more energy that is like downtown.
