School Day Structure

Students arrive between 8:10 and 8:25-Report to café

Students transition to classrooms at 8:25 am

Classes begin at 8:30 am

Period 1 ends at 10:00 am

Snack/break 10:00-10:15

Period 2 begins at 10:15 am

Dismissal at 11:45 am (please be prompt for pick up) Please note, students schedules will be accessible through Infinite Campus.

Student Drop off/Pick Up

Student Drop off will occur in the front of Madison Junior High.

Students will enter through Door 1 and go to the café.

If student’s arrive after 8:25 am, they may report directly to class.

Transportation

Transportation route information will be available through the Parent Portal by Tuesday, May 22nd.

If you still require bus transportation and have not yet registered for it, you can still do so through the summer school website through the webstore ($25 / semester). Once registration is received route information will be posted to the Parent Portal within two days. https://www.studentquickpay.com/naperville203/

Transportation

▶ Buses will pick up students in time to drop off at MJHS before the start of the 8:30 am class. ▶ Buses will depart MJHS at approximately 11:55 am ▶ Students wishing to take the bus, but who are only attending one session of the summer school day, are encouraged to wait in the LC or the cafeteria until their 10:00 class begins or until the buses leave at the end of the day. ▶ For transportation related questions, please contact the D203 transportation department at: 630-420-6464

Before School Expectations

While Seated in the Café… ▶ Enter the building in an orderly fashion ▶ Take your hat off ▶ Sit with your class (tables will be labeled) ▶ Wait for supervisors to dismiss you at 8:25 am ▶ Transition to classroom ▶ One ear can be occupied with a headphone ▶ Go to the main office window if you have an early dismissal

Student Progress

▶ Students will be progress monitored throughout Summer School ▶ Progress reports will be sent out at the end of each Semester ▶ Students will earn letter grades

Technology

Students and families now have access to schedules in Infinite Campus

  • Portal. Please change the calendar to “18-19 MJHS Summer School” to

see the class, room number, and teacher.

Returning junior high school students will still have access to their Chromebooks as they will not be collected after the school year.

For incoming 6th graders, Chromebooks will be available for student use in the classroom.
