By combining Sequans PXL SDK and Itron Cloud services, Itron Idea Labs created a complete solution opening the path for 3rd party partners to develop products and applications that take advantage of Itron’s Cloud services. Itron Idea Labs cloud services allow high volume data ingestion and insightful analysis for any

• devices. It enables complex data aggregation coupled with adaptive UIs.

Sequans PXL SDK offers a virtual embedded processor to implement low cost IoT applications for controls and sensors. It opens the way to develop products and applications without the need of an external micro-controller. Itron Idea Labs extended Sequans PXL SDK capabilities and added Itron Cloud services to enable smart-city, smart home, customer IoT, supply chain and asset management applications using Sequans Monarch Cat M1/NB1 LTE platform. Itron Idea Labs worked closely with Korys to extend Sequans PXL SDK capabilities and with IoTEROP developing the LWM2M v1.1 solution.

Itron Idealabs SDK Sequans - Capabilities

Following features were developed by Itron Idea Labs based on Sequans PXL SDK:

• Seamless connection to Itron Cloud services (MQTT)
• Device provisioning from Itron Cloud services (using LWM2M v1.1 - IOWA)
• Provision of IPSO models for different devices during device registration
• Concurrent application running
• Health check service (network issues, battery monitoring, reporting different events)
• Location service (device location based on network information or using GNSS)
• Multiple interfaces to connect external peripherals (i2c, gpios, pwm, etc.)
• Logger service for applications and system events monitoring
• Docker environment containing development and flashing tools - enabling 3rd party partners
