Progress : The IEF Secretariat (has) will organise … Symposium on technology in the petroleum sector (15 December 2008) to assess technological development targeted at improving future petroleum supply. IOC-NOC forum (30-31 March 2009) to assess avenues and opportunities to strengthen cooperation and partnership between IOCs and NOCs. Symposium on Human Resources crunch in the Petroleum Industry (13-14 April 2009) to discuss ways of mitigating this impediment to investment in the energy sector. Oil Data Transparency Jeddah Statement : International Energy Forum Global Energy Dialogue • Invited countries to improve the quality, completeness and timeliness of oil data submitted through the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI). • Called upon the seven JODI organizations to start work to cover annual data that includes, among other things, upstream and downstream capacities and expansion plans.
