RAISA – Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is a profes- sional, non-governmental, non-partisan political, nonprofit and public benefit association. PURPOSE The aim of Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is promoting and supporting information security activities in compliance with applicable laws and creating a community area for the exchange of knowledge between specialists, academic and corporate environments in Romania. OBJECTIVES To achieve the stated purpose, Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance proposes the following objectives:

  • Collaboration with the academic community from Romania or abroad in order

to organize conferences, scientific seminars and workshops for presenting the development and implementation of effective measures to improve information security;

  • Collaboration with research centers, associations and companies from Romania
  • r abroad, to organize informative events in information technology security

field;

  • To develop and sustain the activities of institutions contributing to the

development and implementation of security measures in information structures;

  • To perform specific programs for education and training of personnel involved

in electronic information management (data processing, storage, security);

  • To perform certification and accreditation activities for companies in

information security field;

  • To ensure the dissemination of notice relating to existing vulnerabilities and

nationally and internationally newly identified threats; to provide solutions for data restoration and policies to prevent and combat incidents based on the information provided by suppliers of software solutions;

  • To publish scientific journals for university staff, PhD students or Master's

students, researchers, students and other professional categories in the field of information security and cybercrime;

  • To grant awards, scholarships or sponsorships to people with outstanding merits

in the field of information security.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Professor Ioan BACIVAROV, PhD Founded in 2012, RAISA – Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance started as an initiative dedicated to promote standards of security and the fight against cybercrime. The vision of the Association is to promote research and education in information security field and to contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and technology in this domain. RAISA has a strong representation at the national level, bringing together professors and researchers from top universities and Romanian institutions, PhD, masters and license students, as well as companies in the IT&C segment. Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance is involved with professionals and academic teaching stuff in supporting scientific activities aimed to form the students in information technology field. RAISA is present to the specialized courses in the academic master program Quality and Dependability Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology - University Politehnica of Bucharest. The e-learning platform www.cpf.ro is developed by Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance in partnership with MicoStyle S.R.L in the research project entitled Implementation of IT&C technologies in on-line educational system.

E-learning platform home page

The platform www.cpf.ro guarantees the success of the e-Learning content combining the advantages offered by e-Learning in general with educational design methodologies and enhanced security services and content offered. The on-line courses are obtained with a maximum impact which closely respects the learning objectives initially set. With the help of this technology different types of files may be available for the students: electronic files, web pages and multimedia presentations stored on a server and accessed through a browser. The used technologies are interactive, allowing a total feedback in real-time and formative and summative, quantitative or qualitative assessments, in an easy way.
