Its not what I can get from team this but what I can give to the team….. Coaches are approachable - Please communicate directly with them Missed practices and games - Each coach has own rules Playing time, expectations - discuss with coach Buses for games during the week - Will take as a group Grades to play Dinners and Events attendance Your decisions & actions will result in a typical reaction from someone…be wise! You represent the school and your team - people are watching
46
We all want the best for our kid - I get it - Have two that have played or is playing college sports We all know more than your coach - I get that too, BUT……. Your job is a silent encourager No coaching from the stands! Let your athlete communicate with her coaches .... not you. Please follow proper chain of command of communication Playing time is not discussed with you Don’t come to fence and dugout and deal with your daughter - water, etc 24 hour Rule with any coach not applicable this year!
47
Family is most important institution but show consideration to team Please respect the coaches rules on transportation Talk to coach prior for any special situations Must have Transportation form on file Maintain the Grades to play Team Photos in late FEB by School Support Spirit Wear via Web Site Check Website for info and updates (updated by 10/1)
48
49
Simulate TEAMWORK, RESPECT for self, towards teammates and peers Increase players SELF-ESTEEM Help develop their WORTH at a young age Help understand their VALUE to their peers and to a situation Help them reach their GOALS beyond HS - Athletically or Academically Build Long Term RELATIONSHIPS that they can count on Every student MATTERS !!!!
50
51
Please watch, support and encourage your daughter’s growth, her play and her desire to compete and add value to a cause Be proud of her accomplishments Enjoy these years of her playing softball and share in the athletic activity that she will remember for a lifetime College is around the corner for many … HS Softball should be the baseline that will help a player manage those life situations
