WHO WE ARE?

• Mr. Adem Viqa who is in the 5th generation of trading and logistic business and the founder of AWR

Abbruch (Demolition) GmbH, Heavy Machinery Viqa, Grem Logistic Trading , Viqa International Sands Cleaning and Viqa International Waste & Metal Scrap Trading. The contribution towards recycling has impacted the companies mission of having a cleaner environment and regain the usage of waste materials. The demolition company AWR Abbruch was found in 1988 in Koblenz, Germany. Since 1994 AWR has reached out on full recovery and recycling of reusable goods such as construction and demolition waste as well as the contaminated materials. AWR has specialized itself in the field of environmental protection and recycling according to German specifications due to the “Wegfall” in 1996, when German Govt announced to become a waste free country applying the idea of Zero Waste in which every type of material gets recycled.

Since 1994, We have been taking full on action to contribute and follow recycling of waste materials and the recovery of materials to eliminate the wasting of reusable goods. To this act of recycling and recovery our organizations strive to recycle and/or recover contaminated (Hazard) materials such as: Asbestos, Mineral Wool, Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Oil, and many other environment harming materials.

OPERATIONS IN UAE

In 2006, Adem Viqa was visiting the United Arab Emirates for the first time and has seen lots of potential in expanding the construction and demolition waste recycling market over the years. In 2007, he has opened Heavy Machinery Viqa in Fujairah and taken over a Quarry in Masafi and produced daily 20,000 Tons of natural aggregates and supplied all over the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

Heavy Machinery Viqa is also dealing with the sales, rental (HMV Rental Division) and refurbishing of stationary and mobile crushing and recycling machines domestically and globally up to this day. HMV handles the mobilization/demobilization, operation, and service of complete crushing and recycling plants within the United Arab Emirates. Heavy Machinery Viqa is specialized in recycling and recovering reusable goods such as Steel-Slag, Construction and Demolition waste, and Contaminated (Hazard) materials. The sales and marketing of the different aggregate/recycled materials produced by HMV is taking over by Gremlog ,our logistic daughter company.

After availing the exclusive right to sell the slag aggregate producing by Emirates Steel industries, a proper study was done and has decided to get into the market and add this also to our existing

• activities. In addition to the slag aggregate Gremlog is able to sell the sand, gravel, natural stone

aggregates, C&D waste recycled aggregate and other recycled materials. “Gremlog” - Grem Logistic Trading DMCC has the exclusivity in moving slag aggregate from steel mills into various applications. Gremlog has the capacity to sell a huge volume of aggregates per year into beneficial applications. The Gremlog sales team has many years of combined experience in different fields in order to be successful in finding new markets and continuing to improve the established markets. The team is backed by an experienced Quality Control Department in order to keep our material in compliance with the construction market and to meet environmental regulations. The sales team is also involved in many local and national organizations which helps promote slag aggregates and continues to educate the public on the benefits of the material.

HMV maintains the plants and sells the end product as Recycled Aggregates by the sister logistic company Gremlog.

Viqa International Waste & Metal Scrap Trading and Waste Collection LLC (VIMS)

Heavy Machinery Viqa own, operates and maintain a Complete Metal Recovery, Crushing & Recycling Plant, Eddy Current Separator Plant and Shredding Plant in VIMS our sister

• company. We provide the complete recycling solutions such as Steel Slag Recovery,

Aluminium processing wastes, Carbon (Anodes, Cathodes) Recycling, Industrial Plastic, paper, wood, shredder waste etc.

Steel – Slag Recovery at Emirates Steel Industry (ESI) In 2013, Heavy Machinery Viqa has successfully set up a Steel Slag Recovery Plant in Abu Dhabi, in which it has already recovered over 2 Million Tons of Slag material. The material has been crushed, demetalized, and screened to the following market required end product aggregates of 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm etc. The material is successfully using in the batching plants, block factories, asphalt and backfilling areas.

C&D and Asphalt Waste Recycling Heavy Machinery Viqa has successfully set up a C&D and Asphalt Waste Recycling Plant at the Tadweer Al Dhafra Landfill, Abu Dhabi, recycled a huge quantity of C&D and Asphalt material. The material has been crushed, screened, and separated from other waste materials such as plastics, wood, paper, glass, textiles, and other waste materials. C&D waste is then made into different sizes of aggregates for the different requirements of the clients as they can mix up to 30% recycled material with the natural

• aggregates. Recycled Asphalt can be mixed up to 40% with the natural components.

C&D Waste Recycling in Ajman, UAQ & Fujairah

After all successful history, HMV has been Chosen by Environmental Dept - Dulsco as one of the pioneers In Recycling of C&D Waste and signed an agreement to provide and operate the Recycling Plant with Crushers / Screens / Air Separators / Picking Stations etc. in the Northern Emirates of Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah for 15 years period. HMV is also maintaining the plants and selling the end product as Recycled Aggregates by the daughter logistic company Gremlog. Our aggregates stocks located in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, which are excluded from the toll gate.

The United Arab Emirates is successfully increasing industries and population is a growing concern within the Environmental System of the country. As the population increases, more waste is generated by the households, industries and increase in size and more living space is needed. Selection Procedure of the solid Construction and Demolition Waste

The selection procedure starts with the C&D waste material being brought in or being picked up by Trucks and dumped at site. The waste material will be fed to the recycling plant where the different waste materials such as; steel, plastic, paper, wood, glass, rock and many

• ther reusable waste materials get selected through man and machine.

Throughout the selection procedure, different stock piles will be generated out of the reusable material. The reusable waste materials will be baled and sold to their existing and designated commercial markets.
