What do we do in school to promote handwriting and presentation?

 use mnemonics to help children independently improve their presentation; DUMTUMS DATE – UNDERLINE – MISS A LINE – TBAT – UNDERLINE – MISS A LINE – START  All children know to use a ruler for underlining in all learning  Teaching staff model and write on flipchart paper, to model underlining, and legible handwriting.  Book Looks carried out by Mrs George and Mrs Andrews ask the children to reflect on their presentation and provide advices as to how the children can improve their books.  At express events/parents evenings books are accessible for Parents/Carers to discuss their child’s books – quality, quantity and presentation expectations with their children.
