Pre-Osteofit Pilot

  • Participants were referred by FH geriatric clinics
  • 1 hour – Twice a week – 8 weeks
  • Free
  • Locations:

 Seniors First Clinic (Surrey) = 6 participants  New Westminster Geriatric Clinic = 15 participants  Abbotsford Seniors Clinic = 6 participants  Elder Health Services (White Rock) = 10 participants

Total = 37 participants

Inclusion Criteria

  • 65 years of age or older
  • Must be able to ambulate independently – with or without a

mobility aid

  • Must be able to follow direction through verbal or physical

gestures with or without the help of a caregiver

  • Must be able to tolerate light and moderate levels of physical

activity

  • Not able to safely participate in a community class due to physical

and/or cognitive concerns

  • Must have transportation to/from the class
