  5. Hounslow Borough Profile • No. of residents not meeting activity guidelines (<150 mins/week MVPA) is higher (not statistically significant) in Hounslow than the London average (42.8% vs. 35.4%). That’s’ 92000 people. • The proportion of adults who are inactive (<30 mins/week) is 28.6%, which is statistically significant higher than the London average of 22.2%. That’s 61,000 people. (APS 2015/16) • No. of adults aged 18+ with a BMI classified as overweight (including obese), calculated from the adjusted height and weight variables. Adults are defined as overweight (including obese) if their body mass index (BMI) is greater than or equal to 25kg/m2. Hounslow 59.2% and London 55.2%. That’s 128,000 people. Source: APS, 2013/15-16

OneYou Hounslow • Hounslow and Richmond Community Health Care NHS Trust (HRCH) is the lead provider with sub contractual arrangements with a range of partners including Fusion, Brentford Football Club and Voluntary Sector (the Mulberry Centre and Integrated Neurological Service INS) • 5752 residents engaged in OneYOU physical activity programmes including health walks, dance classes, yoga, pilates, tai chi • 73% of residents who were retained in such activities, showed improvement in their physical activity levels and general wellbeing. • 710 people started the Exercise on Referral programme, with 65% achieving key outcomes

Leisure Centres Fusion operates 6 leisure centres on behalf of the Council as well as Sport Development and Exercise on Referral (via OneYou) – Nearly 2 million visits in 2017 – c9000 members / c21,000 reward card holders – 57% of users currently receiving a discount – 300 free passes for looked after children – Strong representation from target groups particularly over 60s, BME groups, women and under 16s – 2017 Quest Excellence – 800 London Youth Games participants (schools) – 300 members Team Hounslow Athletics – Key partner in delivery of successful pilot programmes including pre-diabetes scheme & outdoor gym sessions.
