Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out [ halak -impv] of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. Genesis 12:2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”
Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Genesis 11:4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, [ ~ve ve WnL'-hf hf,[] []n:w n:w> > wen’asheh lanu shem ] lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
Acts 7:2 And he said, “Brethren and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran Acts 7:3 and said to him, ‘LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR RELATIVES, AND COME INTO THE LAND THAT I WILL SHOW YOU.’ ”
Acts 7:4 “Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was dead, He moved him to this land in which you now dwell.”
Acts 7:5 “And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.”
Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
Hebrews 11:10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
1. I will make you a great nation. 2. I will bless you 3. I will make your name great 4. And you will be a blessing (the imperative expresses the results of the command) 5. I will also bless those who bless you 6. and him who curses you I will curse. 7. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
1. I will be with you 2. And I will bless you 3. I will give you and your descendants all these lands 4. I will establish the oath I made with Abraham 5. I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven 6. I will give your descendants all these lands 7. And by these descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.
Gen. 27:28–29, to Jacob: 1. May God give you of the dew of heaven 2. Let peoples serve you 3. and nations bow down to you 4. Be lord over your brothers 5. And may your mother’s sons bow down to you 6. Cursed be every one who curses you 7. and blessed be every one who blesses you.
