  • Report for FT Check-in at 8am
  • Check for announcements on SLS

STEP 1: HAVE A REGULAR DAILY ROUTINE

  • Follow your HBL timetable

–Your ft will be sending you a detailed timetable at the end of every week (for the following week) which indicates the time slot for your LIVE lessons (indicated as Y)

  • Be on-task and complete all

assigned work.

  • If you are unwell and cannot do

your assignments, inform your parents to Whatsapp your form

  • teacher. You will need to complete

your assignments within 3 days.

Observe the ground rules set by the school and subject teachers. DO (a) speak politely/respectfully, (b) be in a quiet part of your home (eg. not lying on the bed, not in the toilet, etc). (c) participate actively in the HBL lessons. (d) complete tasks to the best of your ability. (e) be dressed appropriately (eg. not in pyjamas or going shirtless -- for boys) DON’T (a) eat or snack during sessions (b) play online games

WHEN ATTENDING ‘LIVE’ LESSONS

STEP 2: TAKE BREAKS

  • After every hour, get up from your

sitting position and have a stretch

  • Have a glass of water
  • During the break in your timetable,

get something light to eat

  • After any online activity, give your

eyes a short 1-2 minutes break by looking out the window at a distant

STEP 3: DON’T FORGET TO HYDRATE YOURSELF

  • It’s easy to forget to drink water

when you’re at home

  • Have a cup of water or water

bottle with you at your study area

  • Drink some water every hour

STEP 4: INTERACT WITH OTHERS FROM/AT HOME

  • Humans are social beings who need to

interact with others

  • Once you’re done with your HBL, have

short conversations with friends and family members over the mobile phone (better if they are video calls)

– DO NOT physically gather with people

  • Take the lead and organise family

activities at home (e.g. use your NFS knowledge to cook for/with your family)

STEP 5: GET SOME EXERCISE

  • Physical activity is important for

your overall well-being

  • After your HBL for the day, do

some exercises at home. You could follow one of the many workout videos being posted online

  • DO NOT go to crowded places

and DO NOT meet in groups to socialise/play sports

STEP 7: ENGAGE IN MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES

  • You’ll be done with HBL by latest 2pm

each day

  • After your lunch and a short (less than

40 minutes) nap, you could engage in some meaningful activities, such as…

– Read a book – Keep a journal/diary reflecting on your ‘stay-home’ experience (hardcopy or an

  • nline blog/Instagram posts, etc.)

– Clean your room/help out with some chores at home – Play games with family members – Watch a good movie/TV series

IF YOU NEED HELP…

  • Need someone to talk to about personal issues or concerns?

– Reach out to your Form T eacher (call/message/Google Meet) – Call/message a friend or speak with a family member

  • Feeling bored and lonely at home?

– Call/message a friend or have a video call with them (they might be looking for someone to interact with too) – Find time and arrange activities to interact with family members

  • Experiencing technical difficulties with SLS/Google Meet/Zoom?

– Let your Form T eacher know during FT Check-in or drop them a message – Let the relevant subject teacher know – Call General Office at 62884159 or email helpdesk at peicai_ss@moe.edu.sg or

  • Not sure how to complete your HBL for a particular subject?

– Let your subject teacher know by dropping them a message/arrange a Google Meet
