Welcome!

  • We will start with our Committee and Board reports, followed by

voting on the Board Position of Vice President.

  • We will NOT vote on Article III, Section 2 of the Bylaws, as we have

not opened up the 10 shares previously approved three (3) years ago.

  • We will then vote on the bylaws changes that have been proposed in

the document emailed out to all members and available at this

  • meeting. These changes will be voted on in full – yes or no.
  • Owner/Guest: Use of facilities and how this affects our club.
  • Club Culture & Vision: How do we want to move forward? The Board

has been working on trying to plan for the future. This will take all of us working as a team to move forward.

  • Finally, if there are questions pertaining to any of these reports please

feel free to raise your hand in an orderly manner and we will address questions one at a time.

  • As a reminder to all, courtesy is a must during this meeting. This is to

remain an objective meeting. If you cannot comply you will not be heard.

Pool Report

Pool: Open

April-May 2018

  • Mid April we started draining the pool and rounding up members to assist in

getting the pool ready for the season.

  • Work was completed every available day to pump, power wash and scrape the

pool to determine the severity of the patching needed. This process was difficult due to an overly wet Spring.

  • All concrete patching of walls and gutters was completed by members.

Significant gutter erosion under the diving board, where the expansion joints are to the pool, and the baby pool walls.

  • After all of the prep and patching had been completed we painted the pool as

best as possible from the gutters up. We have some paint left over that can be used for 2019. Waterville hardware said they would store it at no charge for us.

  • We were able to fill the pool and pass inspection prior to opening Saturday, May

26th.

Pool Report

Pool: Open

June-August

  • From the very first day opening we have battled extremely warm weather.

This will play havoc on chemicals of the pool for many reasons (Sun, Number of Swimmers, Replacing Water).

  • Even with the difficulty balancing the chemicals we only had one day we

had to close the last few hours of the night due to pockets of high chlorine in the pool.

  • Our Pool Manager Alyssa Knappins and her staff have been a huge help

with not having a Pool Chairperson.

Operations Report

OPERATIONS: Amy Snyder POOL MANAGER: Alyssa Knappins OVERVIEW: What a great summer for weather and pool conditions! Several purchases were made to improve the pool and surrounding areas. The addition of a Twitter account helped keep everyone informed. Follow us on @FallenRec NEW ADDITIONS/UPDATED POLICIES: (The policies implemented are at the discretion of the Pool Manager, Operations Manager, and the Board)

  • Update on flotation devices: If three guards are in the chairs, there will be no

flotation devices allowed other than noodles. (We purchased noodles for our

  • wners and guests) It was becoming difficult for our guards to monitor the bottom
  • f the pool so for the safety of our owners and their guests, we eliminated the

flotation toys during the busy times.

  • Additional training for guards: Safety was our theme for this year so we added

some additional training for the guards and gave them situational drills. As of today, there have been no incidences to report. (Pics were posted on Facebook)

Operations Report

NEW ADDITIONS/UPDATED POLICIES:

  • Random wristband days: Extra emphasis was placed on identifying and

tracking guests and guest fees. As a member, please make sure you understand and follow the guest policy which can be found in the bylaws. Guest fees are $5 and a guest is allowed no more than five times entry per summer. After receiving complaints of guests “sneaking in” we implemented random wristband days. STAFF:

  • 19 guards were hired following a very specific interviewing process.

CLUBHOUSE RENTAL:

  • To date, 20 rentals have/will be scheduled

GROUNDS

Grounds: Mike Rogers and Dan Wyandt

  • Marshall Pifer – mowed first half of the summer. Thanks for your work!
  • McKee Lawn Service – new lawn service: didn’t skip a beat!
  • Matt Pfleghaar – took the lead in staining the stairs to the sun deck!
  • Mike and his Crew – new roof on gazebo, new sliding glass doors for Shelter House and

new windows for Snack Shack!

  • The grill cleaning crew did (and are still doing) a great job, all of the weeders and those who

showed up for the 2 spring cleaning days got us off to an awesome start and all who planted and kept the flowers alive helped to make the grounds look very good this season.

  • Look for emails for end-of-season work days and leaf-raking in the fall.
  • Remember – if you do grounds work, complete the form and have Mike or Dan sign it to

turn in to the Work Hours Committee. The form is online or in a folder in the Snack Shack. Hand the completed form to a guard in the Snack Shack.

who really spearheaded the event and helped make it such a success.

  • Third, THANK YOU to EVERYONE (parents, swimmers, coaches,

grandparents and other family members) who volunteered in some capacity – it was really cool to see so many families and kids involved and having a great time
