  • 7:50 AM - 2:44 PM
  • 8 Academic Periods
  • 7 class minimum schedule (only 1 study hall)
  • 30 minute Intervention/Enrichment Period
  • 3 minutes between classes

l 21 Total Credits l English 4 credits l Mathematics 4 credits, including 1 unit of Algebra II or equivalent l Science 3 credits l Social Studies 3 credits l Fine Arts 1 credit l Health .5 credit l P.E. .5 credit l Electives 4.5 credits l Economics/Finance .5 credit l Pass all END OF COURSE exams as determined by the Ohio

Graduation Points

l For each of the seven end-of-course state tests,

a student earns one to five graduation points. Students have the potential to earn a total of 35

  • points. To meet this graduation option, a student

must earn a minimum number of 18 points from all tests.

Physical Education Waiver

l In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section

3313.603, Defiance Senior High School students may be excused from all physical education course requirements by participating in District-sponsored interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading for at least two full seasons while enrolled in high school and prior to entering their 12th grade year of school.

l Forms must be completed and returned to your

counselor prior to the first scheduled contest.

Schedule Changes

  • You have the first 5 days of the semester to add/

drop any course.

  • Any drop after 5 days will be a withdrawal failure

and a meeting must be held.

  • Year-long courses can be dropped at the

semester if you have a D or F OR you can withdraw fail (with parent permission)

  • Teacher changes/requests will NOT be made.
  • Please try to make schedule changes prior to

the beginning of the next year.
