Product Compliance: REACH/CPSIA
- Product Compliance begins with Product Development
- A comprehensive approach to material development is paramount
- Component specs and testing are critical (avoiding the rotten apple)
- Holistic focus on material integrity extends from concept through
bulk production (entire material lifesycle)
- Where Communication, Data and Documentation creates your
Audit Trail
- Compliance reporting (chemical dossiers, certificates of compliance)
is simply a by-product of a systematic approach to material data management throughout a products’ life cycle
- Efficient data management = reduction of cost
Our Approach
1. Define corporate goals - This initial step is paramount because it defines the goals of senior management in a way that is clearly understood by all stakeholders. It defines the task at hand and is the glue that binds workers with process optimization ensuring long term adoption of the proposed solution. 2. Define then optimize data processes and workflow – This serves three main purposes. First, it helps everyone to understand and agree on the way work is currently being performed, which undoubtedly exposes inefficiencies. Second, it allows stakeholders to agree on an optimized solution with defined metrics. Third, it allows TEXbase personnel to understand the culture and workflow within an organization allowing them to prescribe an optimized TEXbase solution. 3. Implement TEXbase – In this phase we create an implementation plan and timeline that includes installation, configuration and training. We begin internally to insure adoption and alignment to corporate goals. We don’t move to the next phase until TEXbase is successfully merged with the
- ptimized workflow such that everyone clearly understands what data has to move externally,
when and why. 4. Implement TEXbaseConnect – This final implementation phase takes the learnings from previous stages and defines specific routes through which data needs to move from TEXbase to external systems whether they are other corporate systems such as PDM or third party entities such as suppliers or independent testing labs. 5. Continual improvement and alignment to goals – As time goes on, goals change and processes morph to reflect corporate objectives. TEXbase earns the business of our customers every quarter and we do so by continually improving our product to insure your goals are being met using the metrics defined earlier.
