– Increasing incidence rate of breast carcinoma among women in Madagascar – Need for pathology tests to confirm cancer before initiating the treatment

! Objectives :

– Evaluate the practice of FNAB and its accuracy as a diagnostic test of carcinoma

– 270 cases of FNAB in 5 years – Average age of patients : 46,9 years – Presence of palpable masses in 86,89% – Diagnostic of carcinoma in 53,6% – Diagnostic accuracy of FNAB :

! Sensibility: 87,4% ! Positive predictive value: 95%
