Food for Families (Family activities): When a council 1) collects and donates a minimum of 1,000 pounds of food to a Food Bank or Soup Kitchen, 2) contributes a minimum of 100 volunteer man-hours and 3) completes / submits the Food for Families Reimbursement Program Refund and Plaque Application (#10057) by 30 June to Supreme, it will fulfill all four (4) Family Activities category requirements in the Columbian Award Application (SP-7). Work with an organization that provides Thanksgiving meals and donate time and treasure to qualify.

Additional Option-High School Scholarships to Parish Seniors- (Youth/Community/Church activity)- Hold fundraising events to provide scholarships to parish seniors. Tie in with Catholic Citizen Essay Program to judge recipients along with other qualifications, citizenship, grades, and extracurricular activities.
