  • Grade F to G Lecturer (T&R) will be handled outside of

the promotions exercise by Heads of Academic Unit.

  • All applicants for Promotion should note that after 3

consecutive unsuccessful applications candidates they will be unable to submit any applications for a period of 2 years

  • Improved Data will be made available to Heads of

Academic Unit to ensure they proactively consider all of their members of staff and assist them with the application process

  • Carefully consider under which criteria you are applying
  • Is the case based on being exceptional in 1 or excellent in 2 or

more?

  • Can you evidence that you meet the base line requirement for all

categories?

  • Don’t provide more than is requested in the guidance
  • Focus on achievements since the last promotion or appointment
  • Have you been working fulltime for the whole period against which

you will be assessed?

  • Follow the rules and be accurate with the detail
