  • Construction commenced 17th March 2014 -

delay caused by completion of section 106 agreement.

  • Pub site will be the first phase providing 40 new

homes.

  • Tenants and remaining leaseholders in the

process of selecting homes on the new scheme.

  • 10 remaining residents in Curtis House being

double decanted into Betspath House to enable early demolition of the tower.

Developers have agreed to include a satellite receiver dish which will enable residents to receive foreign TV channels.

Homes – use of the hall is in the process of being finalised.

  • Planning consent achieved for 94 new homes

across 7 sites including 37 council owned affordable homes.

  • Mayors Covenant funding received for £700k to

support the scheme.

  • Delegated member approval to appoint

developer March 2014.

  • Cabinet approved funding structure that will

return net cash flow to LBE.

  • Start on site by late June 2014 with practical

completion of all 94 homes by August 2015.

NEW AVENUE

  • HCA Partner Framework used to procure a

developer.

  • Following a number of Direction of Travel

meetings 2 developers submitted tenders to develop the scheme.

  • One of the submissions included 22 properties
  • utside the estate boundary not all owned by

the local authority.

NEW AVENUE

  • Following individual consultations with those

affected by the proposal and a wider drop in event to discuss both submissions it was agreed to defer the decision on the developer selection to allow further work on the scheme.

  • Whilst this decision will delay the project it was

felt that design of the new homes and layout of the scheme would improve the overall development.

Newlon HT as RP partner delivering the Intermediate Housing

  • Phase 1 decanting ongoing - 29 tenants to be

decanted, 25 of these require a double decant to remain on the estate.

  • Guardian firm, Ad Hoc, appointed to rent the

void units in phase 1.

  • Neighbourhood design panels arranged to work

with residents on the design of the new scheme.

developers and local authority awaiting exchange.

  • Local lettings plan booklet drafted for the

  • Phase 2a decanting has now commenced. 32
