Recoverable Debt

The EED provides flexible financing options at low interest rates to support conservation and demand management projects in the City of Toronto.

Parameters

 EED can Finance up to 100% of the capital cost of an energy retrofit  Retrofits must have a return on investment of 20 years or less  Interest rates are fixed at the City’s cost of borrowing

Loan is repayable regardless of energy savings

  • 1. Loans do not accrue interest during the construction period
  • 2. Repayment does not begin until project is completed
  • 3. Payments can be made monthly, quarterly or annually
