Tuesday 2nd June Task: Imagine you are peeping through the fence watching the set up of the circus. What can you hear, see, smell, taste and feel? Write a descriptive piece of writing using your senses to describe.

Warm: Complete senses sheet with at least three sentences in each box. Hot/Spicy: Descriptive writing

Example I crept quietly towards the metal fencing that surrounded the circus. As I got closer, I began to see flashes of colour that were lighting up the night sky and I could hear the hustle and bustle of many people. I crouched down amongst the long, green grass so nobody would see me peering through the fence. The first thing that caught my eye was the huge, yellow tents that looked as if they went on for miles. They had red flags on top and sparkly, twinkling lights. How pretty it looked! I could hear people shouting instructions…
