If lives touched are a measure of a life lived, then Matt lived a lifetime simply through the connections he made and people he met. Whether in a sauna, on the soccer field , or in a crowded classroom, Matt caught your attention with a smile, a hello, and the inevitable question. It was that curiosity that drove him to strive for experiences that would shape his own life.

Before his tragic accident, Matt wrote down a list of goals he sought to achieve. It is exactly that forward thinking that defined Matt’s existence. While his goals seemed outside the realm of accomplishment, they are markers of just what sort of future one can imagine when unhindered by the limitations of life lived within four walls.

Your essay should not just encompass how you’ve lived your life, but how you have experienc perienced ed it, and with those experiences how and what exactly do you have planned for yourself in the future?
