The proposed project would:

  • Reconstruct and widen the existing two-lane undivided roadway

to four-lane roadway with a continuous center two-way turn lane

  • Provide sidewalks and bicycle accommodations within the

project limits

  • Convert approximately 75 percent of the proposed project to a

curb-and-gutter system, with open ditches remaining towards the eastern end of the project limits

  • The project would require approximately 45 acres of additional

right-of-way, which may result in the displacement of businesses and residences

Lee Turner Road to Business 105 Proposed Project Funding and Schedule Fu Funding

  • According to TxDOT, the total project construction cost is

estimated to be approximately $175 million

  • The proposed project is State and Federally funded
  • SH 105 is not proposed to be tolled

completed in segments, with construction of the first segment predicted to begin in 2021
