  4. Cohorts • DfE: – Children who have been in care for 12 months (in March of the year being assessed) – Data provided by the government only takes the DfE cohort into account • Non-DfE: – The DfE cohort plus any other children in care at the time of the assessment

Early Years Foundation Stage • 11 pupils in the cohort • 17 assessment areas • Levels of ‘Emerging’, ‘Expected’, ‘Exceeding’ • 3 (27%) reached a GLD (2 boys/1 girl) (national average: 60%) • 3 pupils very close (2 by 1/17, 1 by 3/17) • 1 pupil ‘exceeded’ in 14/17 areas • 1 pupil ‘exceeded’ in 11/17 areas

  6. Key Stage 1: (Y1 & Y2) • Phonics – conducted in June of Y1 • Pass mark in 2014 was 32 • National average all pupils: 74% • Rotherham all pupils: 69% • DfE LAC cohort: 33% • 9 pupils (5 girls/4 boys)
