COMPANY PROFILE

The firm was founded in 2000 and has undertaken numerous projects involving all types of geological and geotechnical issues. Georgios Anagnostou is the company’s Technical Consultant on issues relevant to under- ground works. He is a proffesor in the ETH Zurich. In addition to the 5 partners, the firm employs (full time) 13 engineers (geotechnical and structural) and engineering geologists. Since November 2000, the company has possessed the EN ISO 9001 certificate for quality control issued by TUV-CERT of Germany.

slope stability, etc

• 2. WEDGE and UNWEDGE for the analysis of wedges (rock slopes, underground works).
• 3. HYDMEC by the University of Zurich for the calculation of foundations, open excavations

and underground structures with the use of the finite element method. The program allows for the analysis of stresses and underground water flow following the consolidation theory.

• 4. TUNNEL by the German Company RIB for the calculation of underground works.
• 5. PLAXIS of PLAXIS for calculation of underground work
• 6. PHASES for the calculation of underground works.
• 7. VISUAL MODFLOW for ground water analyses

Structural Software

• 1. STATIK by the Swiss Company CUBUS for the analysis of structures with lineal elements

and the automatic dimensioning in accordance with the reinforced concrete regulations.

The main activity of the firm is the design of underground works and of all sorts of geotechnical site investigations and design for all kinds of large projects. Firm executives have the experience, technical know-how and the equipment required for the complete design of underground works: from the geotechnical survey to the detailed structural and construction study, from the stage of the feasibility study, to the supervision of the construction operations. They are also involved in the preparation of tender documents and technical specifications, as well as on the supervision, the geotechnical and the time monitoring of projects under constuction.
