METRO TUNNEL CREATIVE PROGRAM

ALBERT ROAD RESERVE POP-UP PARK

slide-37
SLIDE 37

ALBERT ROAD RESERVE POP-UP PARK

We are considering the installation of a multipurpose green space to enhance Albert Road Reserve and support local residents, businesses and visitors. Under the proposal, the pop-up would remain in place for the duration of the Metro Tunnel construction works and is designed to be used by members of the public whilst maintaining the flexibility to cater for entertainment, such as small musical performances and activations. To ensure that all voices in the community are heard prior to carrying out this initiative, we are collecting feedback from residents and local community members.

slide-38
SLIDE 38

ALBERT ROAD RESERVE POP-UP PARK

Purpose

  • Aimed to replenish green space and public amenity lost through the establishment of the

construction site.

  • Provide a temporary space for the public to utilise and enjoy.
  • Create a space capable of hosting programming, including small scale music

performances. Timing Indicative install date of May 2019. Will remain in place for the duration of the construction works.
