Where we are?

Tešanj Municipality is located in the area between central and north-eastern Bosnia and according to the territorial organization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) this municipality belongs to the northwestern part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FB&H) and it's one of twelve municipalities of Zenica-Doboj Canton. The municipality is located on the most important routes (M 17, M4 and RP 474) connecting Tešanj with other big cities in B&H, while future 5C transnational corridor will connect B&H with Central Europe and the Adriatic coast.

Territory: 163 km² (283 citizens/ km² ) Population: 46 135

In the context of a regional centre, Tešanj Municipality is located at the door step of key regional traffic roads Belgrade (Serbia) – Zagreb (Croatia/EU) – Sarajevo connecting cca. 17 million people. The customs terminal is located in the municipality of Tešanj which significantly simplifies and reduces customs procedure. A dynamic and skilled labour force is educated to the needs of companies, as well as tailor-made business environment. • The municipality of Tesanj is ranked among 5 municipalities with the most developed metal

processing sector in B&H.

• Five companies in the sector, export 97% of production mainly to the German market.

PRODUCTS: Water and oil pumps, hydraulic pumps, oil, air, and cabin filters for vehicles, brake disks, spark plugs, gear wheel, semi trailers, parts for agriculture machines and tractors, etc. More than 50% of local economy export is placed to a market of over 50 countries. Fashion wear, jokey clothes, uniforms for police, army, and security guards, dress and equipment for motorcyclists, shoes, socks, equipment for hunting and fishing, work protection suits and equipment, car seats and interior upholstery, etc. Around 25% of local economy export goes to at least 18 countries among which are dominating Italy, Slovenia and Germany.

• Trade and Services

This sector is a very important area for the local economy, especially if you keep in mind that the HIFA Group, with a turnover of 660 million, is one of the most successful companies in the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this Group the largest trader of petroleum products and it's a system that brings together 12 different companies. In the area of trade very important subjects are AS, Farex, Silk-Trade, Točak, Mepromex, Muki, Life Oil and others.
