Solution - DrupalCAP

Through DrupalCAP, we aim to introduce Drupal and Open source in Educational Institutions. Drupal community members from different organizations will mentor students and help them learn Drupal Skills. We will also encourage Drupal organizations to visit Colleges to recruit Students with Drupal Skills.

Journey So Far

• 2013 Idea to bring Drupal in Education
• 2013 - 2014 Ideas was discussed in all major drupal Camps
• Nov 2014 - Initial draft was open to all community member for suggestion and

feedback

• Jan 2015 - Team formation to own and execute the idea
• Dec 2015 - Program site was launched - www.drupalcap.org
• Jan 2016 - Pilot Phase of the program was conducted at Symbiosys Pune
• Feb 2016 - Program launch in DrupalCon Asia 2016

DrupalCap Selection Process

• One Day workshop on Drupal and DrupalCap Program followed by self

nomination process.

• Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can apply for Drupal Campus

Ambassador program

• All nominations will be reviewed by selection committee
• There will be two level selection process

○ Level 1 : Review of profiles based on data submitted ○ Level 2 : Face to face call / Meetup with the candidate

• Once selected, Student will be notified and on acceptance a public

announcement will be made.

• Faculty nominee will be selected based on interest and profile.

Roadmap

Drupal Campus Ambassador program will be executed in three phases

• Pilot Phase : We will on-board selected colleges in Western region with the

help of local drupal community.

• Phase 1 : Based on the learnings from Pilot phase, we will onboard tier-1

colleges in each region.

• Phase 2 : We will expand the program to other known colleges in each

region

• Open Phase : Colleges and Universities can sign up the program
