2016 Open Enrollment Overview

  • Open Enrollment Period: October 8th – 25th
  • Elections can be made two ways:

– www.cpchembenefits.mercerhrs.com (available 24 hours/day) – Calling 1-800-446-1422, option 1 (available 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM central time, Monday through Friday)

  • Open enrollment closes on Sunday this year. The Mercer call center will

effectively close for OE elections on Friday October 23th at 5:00 PM Central

  • time. Website will remain open until midnight Central time on October 25th.

2016 Open Enrollment Overview

  • Open Enrollment is the one time per year that employees can make changes

to their benefits without a life event

  • Most elections will roll over. If no changes are made during the enrollment

period, current elections for medical, dental, vision, supplemental life and AD&PL insurance, LTD, critical illness and group legal will continue for 2016.

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)

contribution elections do not carry over – employees must re-elect these every year

  • Dependents removed during Open Enrollment are not offered COBRA

2016 Benefits Changes

  • Premiums for most medical options are increasing

– Individual rates depend on coverage level and plan option selected – All medical plan options subsidized at equal dollar value – The Select EPO will see the highest employee rate increase at 12%

  • Select EPO continues to see the highest claim volume

– Choice PPO increasing at 4.1% – The Value CDH Plan will again be offered at no cost to the employees for all coverage tiers – All other benefits rates, including dental and vision, will remain unchanged from 2015

2016 Benefits Changes – Value CDH Plan

  • The Value CDH Plan Out-of-Pocket Maximum will be family

style – Meaning that for any coverage tier, no one person will have to contribute more than the individual out-of-pocket maximum – The out-of-pocket maximum amounts will be $4,500 per person, up to a family maximum of $9,000

  • CPChem will continue to fund the HSA with $500 for employee
  • nly coverage and $1,000 for all other tiers

2016 Benefits Changes – Prescription Drug Plan

  • For the Select EPO and the Choice PPO

– the separate $100/person prescription drug deductible will be eliminated – coinsurance for non-preferred brand drugs will increase to 30% (from 20%), with a minimum copay of $45 and a maximum of $150 (from $125)

  • For all plans, the brand name preventive drug copays will increase from $10 to

$20 at retail and from $20 to $40 through mail order

  • Preventive generic drugs will remain the same at $10 retail copay for 30-day

supplies and $20 copay for mail-order/CVS 90-day supplies

  • The Step Therapy Program will be eliminated. Prior Authorization will remain

in place

  • Beginning in 2016 we will move to Aetna’s standard formulary, meaning

higher member cost for drugs moving from “preferred brand” to “non- preferred brand”, but no loss of coverage

  • All bulk chemical compound medications will no longer be covered, with the

exception of children’s medications

2016 Benefits Changes – Telemedicine – Teladoc

  • For those covered under one of CPChem’s medical plans you will have

access to a doctor, through Teladoc, that can diagnose non-emergency medical problems and can even call in a prescription

  • Teladoc can treat many of the following: cold & flu symptoms, allergies,

bronchitis, sinus problems, respiratory infections. For examples of when to use Teladoc go to http://www.teladoc.com/what-can-i-use-it-for/ .

  • 1-855-TELADOC (1-855-835-2362) or www.teladoc.com/Aetna
  • 24 hours a day/7 days a week from home or work
  • Reduced copay of $20/visit for the Select EPO
  • Deductible then coinsurance for Choice PPO and Value CDH, but total cost
