Display (MFD) wiring looms

  • During removal or installation and in normal aircraft operations, the

pilot PFD and the upper and lower MFDs wiring looms may chafe against the edges of the mounting tray, which can cause damage to wire insulation Action

  • Inspect the wiring looms for chafe damage, repair as needed and then

noises originating from the PSOV when the solenoid is energized

  • The noise can be linked to a loud buzzing sound, which can

intermittently start or stop during engine running

  • Following details should be included with a core return to

Honeywell for a PSOV that is suspected being “Noisy”

– PSOV identified as a “Noisy Valve” – Where possible include operational conditions at the time the valve

was noted to have noises emanating from it

– Reference: SIL-2959A-01 – Request investigation required reference product investigation
