Senior Check-out Sheets  Check-out sheets distributed during 3 rd hour on Monday, May 16 th  Read and follow the directions carefully  Return books and pay fees owed to the bookstore before checkout day to avoid late rush. (Due Fri. 20 th)  Cafeteria fees must be paid to cafeteria  Library books/fees paid to media center

  8. Senior Meeting 2016 Handout Please complete and return the bottom portion of the sheet to Ms. Atchue, in the counseling office,by Friday, April 1 st . Important!!!!!!!! Do Not Forget 100% return of all signed senior forms is required!!!

  9. DO YOU OWE MONEY???? Over $5,000 in general and textbook fees is currently owed by seniors! Please check with the bookstore for amounts owed* This includes any outstanding • books, athletic and misc. fees etc. Check with the cafeteria for • outstanding lunch accounts Seniors w/ outstanding balances/overdue books, etc. will not walk and receive their diplomas Check media center for library books Get all fees paid before Wed. May 4th , if possible to avoid the rush!!!!!

  10.  Thursday, May 19 th Exams Periods 1, 2 & 3  Friday, May 20 th Exams Periods 4/5, 6 & 7  Friday, May 20 th Sr. Breakfast, 7-7:30 a.m., Ramada Area Graduation Rehearsal (Mandatory), 7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m., Aud./Gyms  Monday, May 23 th , Rehearsal begins at 7:30 a.m., in large/small gym.  Monday, May 23 rd Sr. Exam make ups after rehearsal.

  11. Grades Due  Final grades due from community college, correspondence courses, etc. by May 6 th .  Official transcripts due to counseling no later than Friday, May 6th.  iSchool grades due by Friday, May 6th. It is YOUR responsibility to get grades to Willow Canyon on time from these other institutions! **New Procedure: Future WC official transcript request from parchment.com – No longer through WCHS .

  12.  Myth: Seniors can’t fail second semester  TRUTH: Seniors have failed and not graduated

  13.  Myth: Seniors are never dropped from classes  TRUTH: Seniors can be dropped because of attendance

  14.  Myth: Senior Pranks are funny, no one gets hurt  TRUTH: Senior Pranks can/have caused students to miss graduation, and to even be arrested and face criminal charges

  15. Attendance is mandatory for; Friday’s rehearsal - May 20 th (7:30-9:20 a.m.) in the Auditorium/Gyms Monday’s rehearsal - May 23rd in the Gyms Monday, May 23 rd Report 7:15am WCHS large/small Gyms Practice begins @7:30am Sharp!

  16. You must give Administration advance notice in writing, if you are unable to attend all rehearsals. Only valid reasons will be accepted. (Doctor/Dentist etc.) (Notices to Ms. LoMazzo) Auditorium Meeting Friday, May 20 th (Per 1,2) Gym Rehearsal, (large/small gyms) May 23 rd (Practice will begin at 7:30 am) Brief Rehearsal on football field. Wear hats/caps/glasses/sunblock to protect yourself from the sun. (Water bottles only)

  17.  Dress nicely- Church/nice restaurant apparel – No Jeans!  Dress shoes - No flip flops and no tennis shoes; Beware: spiked heels   No decorations on caps  No additions to the gown, including flowers (except school approved organization/club regalia)  Student will be sent home to change if needed or will not be allowed to walk- Don’t let it happen to you! Hi MOM

  18. Ceremony Guidelines  No cell phones  No purses- leave with family or friend  Students under the influence will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony  Bring cap/gown in hand to the site  Final dress check before entering the seating area at the stadium

  19.  Will be given to seniors at the end of the ceremony  Diplomas/Certificates will be given the next day for seniors who are absent or were disciplined during the event.  Graduation is the last official school activity:  Act responsibly- it’s your event!  Make your Parents and Willow proud!

  20. Tues, May 3 rd , 5:45-6:00 pm. Check-in time (VVHS/PAC)  6:30 pm (Program begins promptly)  All seniors are required to complete and return the Scholarship Report form by Friday, April 8 th , to the Counseling Department if you wish to be included/recognized at the Senior Awards Program. University Scholarship
