  8. Is this the Council's Plan? • No, it is the City's Plan • However the Council is responsible for setting the strategic and operational direction of the city with the citizens and businesses of the city • The Council wants to work with as many partners & stakeholders as possible to build the plan

  9. What are your initial thoughts ? • The overarching purpose of the plan is to make " Bradford a City that we can all be proud of" • The plan will be made up of 4 plans • People, Prosperity, Place and Property • The plan will identify issues and interventions • The plan will create projects and programmes to enable and manage delivery

  10. What are your initial thoughts? contd • The objective of a proud city is widely understood • Producer City, create/make/trade, is economically very powerful/relevant/unique and attainable, widely understood and being applied in stakeholders activity • The People and Prosperity Plans are Drivers • The Place and Property Plans are Enablers

  11. What are your initial thoughts? contd • Bradford is very like every where else, sharing many problems but also very different to other places - this is the 50/50 issue • Normalisation e.g. a better retail offer and Distinctiveness e.g. city of film are key themes • Good Value and Equity are key themes • The need for a Decade of Delivery is understood
