• Main aim of the Center is to bring best environmental

practices and eco-innovation to the industry in line with the regulatory requirements

Switch-MeD

• The SWITCH-Med programme aims to promote a

switch of the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption

• Israel, as one of the nine participating countries,

began to formulate its own national SCP roadmap

• Includes 3 components:

– Policy – Demonstration – Training

National Process

• The process was launched in December 2013 with a multi sectorial workshop and a

round table

• Steering committee includes the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment,

Manufacturer Association and NGOs representatives

• Overall, 8 professional workshops were held in Israel between the end of 2013 and the

beginning of 2015, with over 300 participants from over 50 institutions from all sectors (government, civil society, academia, private sector):
