Sustainable Materials Management Strategy • Cross-ministry, cross-sector initiative • Current sector being examined: quarries and construction – Aggregate levy and fund – Green construction and urbanism – Recycling of construction waste • Future sectors to be addressed: – Policy instruments for plastics (as part of the twining project) – Policy instruments for the food industry (as part of the twining project) – Policy instruments for paper – Policy instruments for tires (rubber) Ministry of Environmental 4 Protection

Resource Efficiency Knowledge Center • Main aim of the Center is to bring best environmental practices and eco-innovation to the industry in line with the regulatory requirements • A collaboration between the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Economy and the Manufactures Association Ministry of Ministry of Economy Industry Environment Material Mgt. Knowledge Center

Switch-MeD • The SWITCH-Med programme aims to promote a switch of the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption • Israel, as one of the nine participating countries, began to formulate its own national SCP roadmap • Includes 3 components: – Policy – Demonstration – Training
