Phase I : already in operation with a source, LEBT, RFQ, Cryomodule For Phase II, CEA has been contracted to deliver MEBT and SCL including diagnostics and LCS SARAF-LINAC-SNRC Source + LEBT SARAF-LINAC-CEA cooling cryogenics

PROCUREMENT

The call for tender was divided in 2 lots :

• Manufacturing of a prototype Low beta cavity and of 12 (+1) Low

beta cavities

• Manufacturing of a prototype high beta cavity and of 14 high beta

cavities The 2 lots could be ordered to 2 different companies or one.

PROCUREMENT

Foreseen manufacturing plan for prototypes :

• manufacture of the bare cavities
• chemistry, HPR, Test at CEA
• Heat Treatment at company
• chemistry, HPR, Test at CEA
• jacketting of the cavities at company
• chemistry, HPR, Test at CEA
• acceptance of the cavity

Once prototype are accepted, the Production Readiness Review launches the manufacturing of the serie cavities.

with validation of SARAF project management (1 or 2 vendor)

• Kick off

• Test and validation of the two prototypes at CEA
• Production Readiness Review to launch the serie
• Manufacturing of the cavities
• Test and validation of the cavities at CEA before

assembly in the cryomodule
