  • Disparities getting worse, not better: In 2012, for every dollar that

metro nonprofits had, rural nonprofits had 61 cents. Now they have 59 cents.

  • Nonprofit wages up 23% (statewide 25%)
  • Foundation assets grown 34% to 137.5 billion

DAFs: $18 billion, nationally about 10.1% of charitable giving

  • Shrinking of the middle class: Largest nonprofits (over $10 million)

grew its share from 68% to 72%, while middle class ($50K - $10 million) share dropped from 31% to 27%
