Case Presentation
- 63 yo M
- Postural discomfort and scoliosis
- Difficulty with ambulation > 1 block
- He was diagnosed with adult onset scoliosis and
underwent a L3-S1 minimally invasive 360 fusion in 2014
- Had subsequent difficulties secondary to nonunion and
hardware failure with a total of 3 surgeries.
- He continues with low back discomfort and limited
function and posture secondary to his scoliosis.
- hx of L hip fibrous dysplasia, nephrectomy-ant/lateral.
PE:
- BMI: 26.81
- He is stooped forward and leaning to left.
- He has a kyphotic deformity at the thoracic spine
and thoracic lumbar junction.
- He has scoliosis of the lumbar region.
- Lumbar range of motion is non-painful and restricted.
