WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE WAS LIKE

  • Novice
  • Unable to attend workshops, so I heavily relied on

CWU’s strong backbone in logic model and outcome assessment analysis

  • Jennifer Lowe, Director of Research and Evaluation

was instrumental

  • Very interesting to see the Woman to Woman

program in this logic model framework

  • Discovered a few things I’d like to present to the

program director as improvements to our outcome assessments

Julie

  • 26 years old; single mother with one

son

  • She came to CWU as a part-time baker

with limited growth potential

  • She had a dismissed case on her CORI

that she believed was preventing her from gainful employment.

  • During WTW, we sealed her CORI and

she gained the confidence and skills to begin a meaningful job search.

  • She is now working at Boston Medical

Center as a Dietary Aid at $14/hour with opportunity for professional development and pursuing an Associate’s Degree.

Holly

  • 28 years old
  • Her family was a victim in the Perfect

Storm in 1991, and they lost their home and most of their material wealth.

  • She was diagnosed with a chronic

health condition that causes extreme fatigue

  • She never thought college was an

affordable option.

  • During WTW, she gained the knowledge

and confidence to succeed academically.

  • She is now enrolled at Quincy College

for her Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences.

  • Her long-term goal is to to continue on

to get her Masters in Public Health and live an economically independent life.
