Somayaji have received VTU ranks from past 5 years for UG program. • Students (UG) paper publications in conferences/journals from 2015 = 21. • Pruthvi S, Shama M S, Sandesh S C (2014-18 batch) won cash award of Rs. 35,000/- in IET- KARMAVEER EXPO 18 , organized by KKWIEER, Nashik for the project “Virtual Eye” . • Zeeshan Saquib, Sana Anaum & Ujwala S S, 2014-18 batch were declared as 2 nd runner up in senior category of Techniche, IIT, Guwahati and won a cash prize of 45,000/- for “ iBrella ” . • Tejaswini H Y & Twesha Dhar won a cash prize of 1,50,000/- in the Wipro Earthian competition, December 2014. • NewGen IEDC project titled “Assistive Technology for Disabled ” by Tejas S and Tejaswini V , (2014-18 batch) was shortlisted for semi-final of MANTHAN- 2018 and for the start up funding of Rs. 10 lakh from DST . • Raghavendra D S, Rishab Bhansali, Vishnu Prasad Bhat, Mohan D of VI sem, won “Project Champion A ward” with cash prize of Rs. 10,000 at IPL Summer competition-2018. • Deeksha More E K, Divya S, Kalyani G, Gouthami R won “Best Project Award” at 6 th semester (College level) with cash prize of Rs. 5000 in IPL Summer competition-2018. 24/8/2018 Dept. of ECE, BNMIT 6

Cultural & Sports achievements: • Anirudh Aithal of IV semester won Gold in Classical Vocal Solo at State Level VTU Youth Festival held during 11 th to 13 th April 2018. • Rakshitha R, Rakshitha A, Pooja R were part of Indian Group Song team which won Gold at State Level VTU Youth Festival held during 11th to 13th April 2018. • Ganesh Murthy of VI semester won Bronze in Percussion (Ghatam) at State Level VTU Youth Festival, Belagavi, held during 11 th to 13 th April 2018. • Vishnu N of II Semester was part of a Skit which won Bronze at State Level VTU Youth Festival held during 11th to 13th April 2018. • Raksha Ramkumar of VI semester won the Best Player award for table tennis in Inter collegiate tournament held during 25th to 28th January 2018. • Shreya Deepak of 2014-18 batch secured Gold Medals in 5,000m, 10,000m & 21km Half Marathon at VTU Inter – Collegiate Athletic Meet (Men & Women), 2017 - 18. 24/8/2018 Dept. of ECE, BNMIT 7
