Communication Conducting these information meetings. ➢ Email was sent to all employees with enrollment information ➢ Human Resources Web Page has all the information, including ➢ this presentation Clara Hupp (Benefits Coordinator) will visit each school during ➢ the first two weeks of May to assist employees and collect enrollment forms. Will send out reminder emails on May 15th ➢ Premium rates increased by 2.25%. School Board will pay for ➢ 80% of this increase and employees will pick up the other 20%

New for FY 2019-20 Delta Dental ➢ Expanded network with better pricing ○ Moving to self funded status ○ New cards will be mailed out ○ VRS - Voluntary Group Long Term Care Insurance Program ➢ Underwritten by Genworth Life Insurance Company ○ Genworth will send information directly to your house ○ Enrollment will be the fall of 2019 ○ Advantage: Group rates and reduced medical underwriting ○ VRS Hybrid Disability Policy ➢ Moving from The Standard to Anthem, will send out information ○ As of July 1, 2019, Disability claim will be submitted by calling ○ 1-844-404-2111 or completing claim online

New for FY 2019-20 Online Open Enrollment ➢ Everyone should have received an email explaining the process for this year ○ Everyone who is eligible for benefits will be assigned tasks in Talent Ed ○ Everyone, including retirees and those resigning, will need to complete ○ these tasks, even if they are not electing coverage The forms are located within the Talent Ed tasks ○ The system will close out the open enrollment at midnight on May 31, 2019 ○ Non-completed tasks will be processed as waived coverage ○ Forms may be uploaded, given to Clara Hupp when she visits or dropped off ○ in the Finance office at the central office. We will not accept forms submitted through interoffice mail. Forms submitted through interoffice mail will be returned to the school.

  7. Contracts Targeting May 15th, these will be sent out via Talent Ed for your ➢ signature.

  8. Notes Clara Hupp will be out to visit each school in the first two weeks of ➢ May, so please remember to schedule time with her if you need to. Her schedule is included in the email that was sent out. If you would like to contact her prior to that visit, please send an email ➢ to: chupp@bedford.k12.va.us Would prefer an email over a phone call so we can document our ➢ response to everyone. She will have limited access to her voice mail, however she will be able to check on her email. Contact Human Resources if: ➢ You did not receive the Open Enrollment email. ○ You need talented login assistance. ○
