Staff Findings and Analysis
- The Wawa site is zoned P-D; the retention pond site is zoned A-2
- The P-D conditions prohibit pole signs and allow ground signs per sign
regulations
- Signage is based on amount of road frontage
- Subject site has 245 ft. of road frontage
- Per sign regulations, the subject site qualifies for 1 ground sign only not
to exceed 120 sq. ft. of copy area
- Applicant is requesting 2 ground signs at 48 sq. ft. each
- Retention pond agreement approved by the BCC on 5/5/2015.
Agreement allows WAWA to apply for a sign variance
- Approval of this request would confer on this applicant a special
privilege that is not conferred to other similarly zoned parcels.
