  1. Bad Angels

  2. Where Do Bad Angels Come From?  Creations of God – originally good angels  The devil or “Satan” was once the archangel Lucifer (meaning “Light Bearer”)  He was so beautiful and powerful that he thought he could rival God

  3. To Hell with the Devil  He rebelled against God in the “war in heaven” (Rev 12:7)  A third of the angels sided with him and became the demons (Rev 12:4)  They were defeated and cast out of heaven (Rev 12:8-9)  Satan is currently “chained” and eventually will be thrown into hell on the last day (Rev 20:1-3, 10)  But in the meantime. . .

  4. Satan Is Alive and Well  The devil and demons are real (Matt 8:28, etc., etc.)  Some exorcisms are legitimate yet today (Mark 16:17)  The devil is cleaver and more likely to tempt us with an attractive image than a repulsive one (Gen 3)  The Bible says that the devil disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14)  Some claim they don’t believe in the devil and yet fall right into his hands (e.g., WICCA, “white magic,” etc.)

  5. What Does the Devil Look Like?  Which image is the devil most likely to portray?

  6. Dabbling With the Devil  What are some ways that people play with the devil and fail to take him very seriously?

  7. What Attitude Should We Have Toward the Devil?  Respect him as dangerous (I Peter 5:8)  But resist him and he must flee (James 4:7)  Wear spiritual armor (Eph 6:16)  Slay him with the Word of God (Eph 6:17)  Know he is defeated (Luke 10:17-18)  Remember that the Holy Spirit in you is much more powerful than the devil (I John 4:4)

  8. Stick close to Jesus!
