Math Placement Exam (PME) Scale

  • If you have not taken Math Assessment Test, you must do so or you

WILL NOT be able to register for a Math course.

  • A grade of 22 or greater = MATH 151/171
  • 16-21 = MATH 150 but should be in the PPP program (Personalized

Precalculus Program) through the math department to attempt to place into MATH 151/171

  • 12 – 15 = MATH 150
  • 12 or below please see me at the end of the session
  • MATH 151/171, 152/172, 251 and 308. Must have a “C” or better to

receive credit. Even if you take it elsewhere.

  • We will meet virtually on Zoom
  • I will be logged on as early as 1:00 if you have questions
  • Registration opens up at 2:00 pm- Don’t be late!
  • Have your course schedule already completed using the Scheduler
  • Registration will start at 2:00 pm. I will be in the Zoom room at 1:00

pm if you need help.

  • At 2 pm you will need to be logged into the scheduling website where

you will actually register.

Section Numbers

  • Registration

Requires the Courses Number (ex: OCNG 251 or ATMO 201), section number (ex: 500-589) & CRN 12345 Put it ALL together- OCNG 251/500 the CRN needed for registration is the 5 digit number found in the CRN column Pay Attention to This- It is Important Different Section Numbers mean different things- 200’s- Honors- must be coded as an Honor student to be able to add this to your schedule 500-589- regular sections 590-599- on-line courses 900-910- Writing Intensive courses M sections are for McAllen- you cannot register for that section

While you are searching for a section that fits your schedule DO THIS-

  • 1. Find Title column
  • 2. Click on the Title of the Course
  • 3. A box will come up- Class Details
  • 4. Select the Restrictions tab and click on it
