ATC Validation Timeline May 15 th Memo to all USO Institutions about the changes to the ATC Validation Service July 15 th Internal testing by OBR August 1 st External testing by USO Institutions in Test (UAT) System September 1 st Deploy to Production (Warning messages) • Transcripts will go through with “warning messages” if validation fails November 1 st Re-Deploy to Production (Error messages) • Transcripts will be rejected with “errors messages” if validation fails

The new validation standards can be found here <link_to_standards>. These transcripts were delivered to their destination. On 11/01/13 the new validation standards will cause these transcripts to not be delivered. Please contact your IT department to make the necessary formatting changes to your electronic transcript creation process. Reverse Transfer (CWID) • OBR has been working with CWID and pilot institutions • Three options have been identified for indicating if the purpose of the transcripts is for: – Credit Transfer or Reverse Transfer • Pros and Cons will be presented for each option • Data Standards Committee will provide feedback • Recommendation will be made available to all USO Institutions

Reverse Transfer (Option 1) • DocumentTypeCode Field – Type and purpose of document being transmitted • Enumeration – Change, TermRoll, TermGrade, StudentRequest, RequestedRecord, InstitutionRequest, ThirdPartyRequest, RequestedRecord and so forth • Option 1: Use “InstitutionRequest” enumeration to indicate CWID

Reverse Transfer (Option 1) Pros: • DocumentTypeCode is being used currently tested by pilot schools • No changes to the PESC Schema required by OBR and USO’s • All USO Institutions are already using this field with enumeration “StudentRequest” for the purpose of credit transfer • OBR will make this field available in SummaryTranscript Cons: • We are defining this enumeration to meet our needs and swaying away from PESC standards
