  13. 5/3/19 ¡ Morning Routine Suggestions ´ *Drink water (20 ounces recommended) – helps with dehydration fatigue ´ Provides more energy ´ Gratitude (think or write at least 3 things grateful for–or do a gratitude walk) ´ Devotions and/or Meditation Practice (going inward) ´ Journaling (gratitude can be a part of this exercise); Could Write Dreams ´ What will I do today to make myself a better person today than I was yesterday? ´ *Move, yoga and/or Work Out (can start with 5 minutes walking, skipping, marching) ´ Reading, studying and/or Learning in an area you want to grow ´ Plan your Day (MIT) No more than 3 ´ Working on your most important project with uninterrupted time *My favorites Micro Start Important Make it Simple Starting Out ´ Resist the urge to tackle all eight suggestions tomorrow ´ Choose 1, 2, or 3 items from previous slide to incorporate into your additional 15 minutes earlier that you are now getting up ´ Each item can take 5 minutes or less – An Example ´ Drink water (a must in my opinion) – 1minute ´ Devotions or meditation practice – 2 minutes ´ Move/walk and incorporate gratitude into this: time – 5 minutes ´ Plan your day – MIT – 5 minutes. 11 ¡

  14. 5/3/19 ¡ Suggestions for Finding an Additional 15 Minutes in the Morning ´ Are you watching too much TV? ´ Average American watches 4 hours a day ´ Can you cut out one program (and go to bed earlier)? ´ Phone Usage ´ Spend less time on social media (morning and evenings) ´ If you are one of the people who starts your day swiping on your phone for 15 minutes before getting out of bed, this can be your 15 minutes. ´ Less time in the evening – then you can go to bed 15 minutes earlier ´ Watch your phone for usage time (iPhone shares each week how much screen time) My Story Developed my “Morning Musts” ´ Over last two years I have gradually added most of the items on the list. ´ This has been a game changer for me. ´ “Need” and “Crave” these mornings ´ Drinking water and working out will make a significant difference (#1) ´ First 5 minutes of working out are the hardest (same as first 5 minutes when you get up) ´ Making your morning include the rituals for you will be a habit you will love ´ You will Feel Amazing and Ready to Conquer the Rest of your Day ´ By the time I get into work, I already feel like I’ve conquered “much” ´ Winning my morning definitely leads to winning my day! 12 ¡
