Who has to apply?

CCP Application Procedure

 Mandatory Parent Meeting  Create and COMPLETE SAFE ACCOUNT AND APPLY for FUNDING NO LATER than April 15th  Submit your Intent to Participate Form (NOW) NO LATER than April 1st

(No exceptions for late submissions)

 Apply to college (March 29th @ 7:30 am)  Take Accuplacer (if no ACT/ SAT scores) (March 29th @ 3:05 @ NDA SRC)  Register for classes (April 5th @ 7:30 am)  Complete On-line Orientation (April)  Pick-up Textbooks (TBA)

Why do students participate in College Credit Plus?

They want to take college courses to satisfy their high school graduation requirements. They complete high school graduation required classes and want to begin college work. They want to explore college and take a course in a subject that interests them.

Books and Fees

Students attending a public college do not pay for either books or fees.

Students attending a private college may have a cost that includes books and fees.

Weighted Grades

College courses must be weighted equally to the greatest weight of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or honors classes, in the same subject area.

  • You can earn up to 30 college

credit hours per academic year; includes summer term.

  • No more than 120 college credit

  • How to apply for College Credit Plus (Chartered and Non-Public)

 Upload COLLEGE acceptance letter under the DOCS tab as soon as you are accepted to UT or Owens  Application status must read “SUBMITTED” or your application is incomplete.  Check SAFE ACCOUNT for CREDIT AWARD LETTER in April/ May and email Mrs. Desmond a copy  Refer Back to CCP Application Procedure Slide to ensure that you have completed each step by the outlined deadlines.
