What Does the LDC Do?

• Develop Slate for BOD, Conduct Election
• Populate AFMTE Committees
• Support AFMTE Leadership as Needed

How LDC Conducts Elections

• Needs assessment
• Develop slate
• Communicate with membership
• Conduct vote

What’s Special about the 2014 Election?

• First online election ever (!)
• Considered several methods
• Decided on a 2-phase election

–Simple vote for the slate –Option to nominate someone else if desired for any of the open spots –If a new nominee emerges, then… –Phase 2: election for any contested position
