  3. Seven countries receive about half of the aid to LDCs in 2009

  4. LDCs received about a third of all aid in 2008-09

  5. Per capita aid to LDCs is higher than to other income groups

  6. The United States has been the most generous bilateral donor to LDCs since 2000

  7. But smaller donors provide a larger share of their bilateral aid to LDCs

  8. Only nine DAC countries met the 0.15% of GNI target for aid to LDCs in 2009

  9. IDA and EU institutions have been the key multilateral donors

  10. Aid goes mainly to social sectors (education, health, water supply).

  11. Composition of aid to basic social services in LDCs
