Must be a New York State Resident to be eligible for TAP and Aid for Part-time Study. Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (G.E.D). Enrolled in a degree program. U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by college. Not be in default on a federal student loan, or owe money on a federal student grant. To be eligible for NYS TAP Grant, you must:
Be a United States citizen or eligible noncitizen OR an Undocumented Citizen who applied directly with HESC using the Senator Jose Peralta Dream Application Be a legal resident of New York State, as defined by HESC rules Have graduated from high school in the United States, earned a GED, or passed a federally approved "Ability to Benefit" test as defined by the Commissioner of the State Education Department before the 21st day of the semester Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student taking at least twelve (12) contributory credits per semester (classes must be contributory towards your program of study) Declare/change a major, minor and/or concentration no later than the established date available on the Academic Calendar once you earn 60 credits Meet Good Academic Standing requirements Not be in default of a student loan guaranteed by HESC or on any repayment of state awards

Accumulated 60 credits and must file a major, concentration or minor to continue to become TAP eligible Registering for non-contributory courses makes you ineligible to receive TAP Repeating a course that cannot be used toward full-time enrollment for TAP eligibility. Have failed to complete the required amount of credits on your last TAP supported semester. Have not earned a total of cumulative credits required for the specific TAP payment granted. Have not met GPA (Grade Point Average) required for this payment.

All CCNY students should use this secure portal when submitting documents to the Financial Aid Office. 1. Use @citymail.cuny.edu to send documents in the from section 2. Last Name, First Name and EMPLID in the subject heading 3. Submit all of your completed signed, dated verification forms, federal tax forms and other supporting income and documents

NOTE: Financial aid that is "pending" means that you have been awarded the aid, and it is being used as a credit towards your tuition bill, but it has not actually been paid out. STEP# 1: Login to CUNYfirst at https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu. STEP# 2: Select HR/Campus Solutions from the left menu.
